Dear Group Members

Let me introduce myself. I joined the group a few months back and have been
watching with interest the various mailings. My name is Eric KOPITTKE and
I reside in Jindalee, a suburb of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia.

My Schleswig-Holstein research interests are currently all from Kreis
Eckernfoerde. My great grandmother, Christina Elisabeth Friederika
BROHMANN, emigrated from this area in 1865 with her parents Johann
Christian Friedrich BROHMANN and Margaretha Christine Friederike nee MUUSS.

Now BROHMANN is quite an unusual name here in Australia and there is a
sporting chance that anyone with that name ultimately stems from the same
area. My knowledge of my BROHMANN line can be outlined:-

Christina Elisabeth Friederika BROHMANN b. 1849 at Stubbe?, d. 1926 in Qld.
Johann Christian Friedrich BROHMANN b. 1829 at Bornstein; d. 1911 in Qld.
His father was Claus Wilhelm BROHMANN.

I have further information about these families and would be delighted to
hear from anyone researching the name BROHMANN, especially if you are
connected to one of these people.
