Dear Dennis:
The William Roenfeldt of Mineola came to USA about 1870 and lived in
Pott.
county for awhile then moved to Mineola and had son named Joseph Frederick
William Roenfeldt. Do you have a birth date for your Wilhelm? No one in
Mineola knows Williams fathers name or where he came from in Holstein. He
did speak Plattdeutsch as many of the others did in Mineola. Some came from
other areas of Germany and didn't speak the Platt.
William married a Henrietta Kline but I don't know if in Holstein or in
the USA.
