Subject: [S-H-RTS] Town location - Colden?
Date: Sun, 16 Jan 2000 15:51:59 EST

Hello Listers:

I recently located my husband's grandfather, Carl Brunhn(a)sen in the Hamburg
passenger lists. He was born in 1844, sailed in Oct of 1865 on the Harry
Bluff. His residence was given as COLDEN, Holstein. His occupation, as best
I could decifer, was landrig.

Does anyone know where Colden may be? This does not look like a German
spelling to me, and I have not been able to locate any town that would be
similiar. And what is a landrig or similiar sounding word? Farm hand?

Any and all suggestions are more than welcome!
