Hello everyone;

Happy Holidays to one and all.

I joined this list a couple weeks ago in hopes that I could learn more
about Schleswig-Holstein. My husband's lineage goes back to Peter
Talemann born abt 1558 in Schleswig-Holstein. His wife is unknown at this
time. According to data I have found, he had 2 sons, Heinrich Taelman
born abt 1586 and Peter Talemann. This same source has Schleswig-Holstein
in Prussia as birth place of one ancestor and Germany as the birth place
of another ancestor. It is said Heinrich married Anna [maiden name
unknown] and had Anna Maria, Elizabeth and Peter. Peter migrated to
Barbados, then to Portsmouth, RI. He was married 3 times.

Can anyone enlighten me on the geography and research helps of this area?
I do not read German and I find it difficult to get around that area of
research.
