Looking for parents & siblings of my Anna Catharina MEVES, born 24 Dec 1821
somewhere in Schleswig. She married Peter Thomas ALBRECHT in 1851. They
are known
to have resided at Schaalby and Tolk, Schleswig. Anna and daughters
migrated to Davenport, Scott County, Iowa, in the 1870s. Anna may have had
a sister Louisa Sophia MEVES who married Peter ALBRECHT's brother Marx
Jürgen ALBRECHT. She may also have had a brother Hans MEVES who migrated to
Davenport. My Meves line has been a real dead end -- any leads will be
greatly appreciated!
