No, there are other S-H settlers m MO and I'm a descendent of several of
those families. These folks were from Kreis Steinburg and Kreis Pinneberg
and they settled with other Germans in Cooper County, MO. Boonville is a
Missouri River town in Cooper County and most of them came up the
Mississippi River from New Orleans to St. Louis and then on up to Boonville.
The first families came in the 1850s. With the help of Hans Peter Voss and
Klaus Struve I've researched most of these families and given them their
genealogies. The family names that come to mind are Hein, Vieth,
Schmalfeldt, Toellner Timm, Köhnke, Rohwer, Schnack, Stammerjohn, Schmidt
and Tietjen. The Köhnke name was changed to King in the USA. There is also
the Selck family who came from Kreis Plön, settled in New York for several
years, and then came west to Missouri. Descendents of all of these families
still live in the area. There are others who settled in Chariton County and
Claus Timm who contributes to this message board has reported on them in the
past.
