I am curious about the village of Schlichting today. Is there anyone
that can tell me about this village whether there are still inhabitants
living there. Is there a church there or cemetery? My great grandparents
came from this village or surrounding villages. Hinrich Lorenz, son of
Hinrich Lorenz and Charlotte Margaretha Johanne Hinz was born in 1846. I am
still tracing his brother Hans Jurgen Hinrich Lorenz born in 1836. They
were baptized in the Lutheran Church in Schlicting. If anyone can tell me
about this village as it is today I would be most happy.
