Hi to the list,

Would anyone have any information on the history of Husum and the
circumstances under which a man might come to Husum as a Prussian soldier and when that
might have happened? Or would he have already have been living in Husum and
become a Prussian soldier?

I'm researching Peter FERDINAND who is supposed to have been a Prussian
soldier living in Husum. He later was an inn keeper. Peter was born about April,
1841 and marr. Christine ? before going to the USA in 1886 with wife and
children Rudolph 17, Herman 16 and Anna 12. They may have had a son, Henry, also.
They settled in Chicago, Illinois.

Any Husum or FERDINAND info. anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.
