Go to http://www.dis-danmark.dk/kipkort/fronta-e.php (I came from the Danish version http://www.ddd.dda.dk/kiplink1.htm, went to 'Kort over indtastninger' then chose the English version)

Most of the counties lie in today's Denmark, the censuses in the former Duchies Schleswig and Holstein are registered under the names
Sydslesvig
Ditmarsken
Holsten
Go through the different years and counties, the colours are explained on the page.

When you search at www.ddd.dda.dk only use the county names Slesvig resp. Holsten. Ditmarscken is part of today's Holstein.
