Peter Andersen Skov was born 1872 in Brede, part of the Danish area taken by Germany 1864 and returned to Denmark 1920.

In his father's death record 1891, Peter's location was listed as Holstein.

Then in 1903, the following note was added to his Brede birth record:

"I(n) F(olge) der Kg. Visit.(Kongelige Visitatorium) d.d. 9.Juli 1903
Zuschrift, dass der Taufling den Namen Schau fuerth (mske heit)"
(or?) According to letter from the royal "Visitatorium" dated July 9, 1903 the baptized must use the name Schau.

Peter's later fate is unknown; does anyone have a Peter Schau born 1872 in their lineage? Has anyone encountered other requests or dictations of such change that era?
