Wanted to confirm you received my response e-mail as I received errors when
sending.. Also, forgot to add that I live in a town north of Chicago.
Illinois, USA.


"My paternal grandfather was Manuel Filipe da Camara (1892 - 1957). He
married Roza Aulinpia DE SOUZA (1900 - 1986). Both grandparents were born in
Funchal, Madeira. Their children:

. Manuel (1919 - 195/6?)
. Antonio Filipe (my father) (1928 - ) now lives in Toronto Canada with
my mom
. Vasco Filipe (1932 - 1992) died in South Africa
, Maria (1939 - 1995?) died in Bangu, Rio

I believe my uncle Manuel went to Brazil prior to World War 2 and died
there. My grandparents and aunt went to Brazil in the 1949. My grandfather
died in Brazil.

My aunt Maria married Antonio DE SOUSA and her married name was de Conceicao
de Sousa Gouveia. The family lived in Bangu. I have 6 cousins that are still
in the Rio area and in Venezuela.

My grandfather came to South Africa in the 1920s to work on the gold mines.
After a mining accident, he and his family returned to Madeira. Manuel and
Maria were born in Funchal and my father and his brother were born in South
Africa and returned to South Africa in 1943."
