Elizabeth you are on the right list. The place is called Flensburg. I had a
look on the website Warren suggested but didn't find anything to match,
although there were some by the name of Bastian in Danish Census records.
(You need to look under Sydslesvig County).

There are no records online for birth so the only thing is to contact a
researcher who can look at the parish records in Flensburg. I can recommend
Klaus Struve as he has done work for me in the past which was of a high
standard and very reasonable.

When your ancestor was born Flensborg was in Denmark but is now in
Schleswig-Holstein Germany. Suggest you also try Danish rootsweb sites.
