Thanks for your reply.
I am new to family tree research and am researching Friedrich Wilhelm
Linning (maternal great grandfather).
Marriage Certificate shows him born in Newkirchen Holstein; shipping
manifest Schoenweide; naturalisation Germany.
We are planning an overseas trip in September to visit where my family
migrated from. It would be fun to do some research while we are there -
time permitting.

I may be of help to you as my father's family also came from Grebin, can you
tell me what surnames you are researching.
The church records for Grebin are found in the Neukirchen church.
