G'day everyone,

Can anyone please help me with the location of a place called "Balfanz". It doesn't appear in Müllers Ortsbuch.

Google maps asks the question "Did you mean: Balfanz, Germany near Canada" !! then goes on to say "We could not understand the location "Balfanz, Germany"

The context is from a 1947 marriage register entry from St Lorenz, Lübeck. In the handwritten part, the names, including the place names, are in roman script, where other parts are written in süterlein. I am therefore confidant that I have read the "Balfanz" correctly, as in

"Martha Maria Margarete Kunde, hausgehilfen, ledig, evang. geb. 18.4.1920 in Balfanz, wohnhaft Lübeck Falkenburger Allee 60"
