Thank you so much for your reply. Unfortunately it is not my Hans either. Am fairly certain that the Johann that I am looking for was born in 1833/4 in Heiligenstedten SH (got that from naturalisation papers). Father was Peter, mother was Abel von Ronne.
Will continue to delve and see if I can confirm what has been found so far. If for some reason your "Hans" becomes more plausible will get back in touch, if that is OK.
Really appreciate your time and effort.
