Hello - I have recently found, through a researcher, that my ancestor served with the 4th Regiment, 17th Battalion of the Danish military - he was stationed in Gluckstadt, Schleswig-Holstein from about 1803 until after 1820. He enlisted 10 June 1797.
Is there any way to get his enlistment records? The researcher found he was from Sachsen, which is a very large area of Germany - I'd like to narrow it down to a village if possible.
