I have found the early 1900 census forms to be very helpful, but as you say
- that are so many potential look-ups. The information I have so far came
from another family member long ago. I had good success confirming that
type of information with baptismal records in other parts of my family and
I'm hoping to do the same here. I still need to check familysearch.org to
see if any local church records were microfilmed in that area.

I am just starting my BIELENBERG research have not contacted other related
families yet. Claus BIELENBERG and two brothers came to America and settled
in Dodge County, Minnesota. Claus eventually moved further north to
Washington County, Minnesota. It is possble that they spent some time in
Iowa or have other relatives there.
