Hello Karsten,

I did a lookup in 1910 and 1920.
I use a webtv like system and can't get into the 1880 census.
You can go to http://www.familysearch.org and do a search and see if his parents were already in SD in 1880. If you find out some names, I can do a page by page search if you send me the places and such.

In the 1910 census, I find:

SAME PAGE, DIFFERENT HOUSEHOLD and even though it is different
spelling, I believe the above named ANNA M., is Juliaus' mother, remarried for 14 years, making above mentioned William T., Rose O., and
Adolph, his siblings. Just my opinion.
