I have an ancestor Amos Silver, born 1843 or 1844 in New York. I've found some census records with a child Amos about the right time. I believe he left NY after the Civil War and went to Kansas (where he married my great-great grandmother. Does anyone have info on Silvers in New York around that time? Thanks in advance!
