I got many responses from my "troubleshooting" post; thank you all! In
particular, Anita expand my problem;

In digest mode you get the posts all at once about once a week. If you
want the posts as they are written you need to subscribe in "mail" mode.

I thought I'd get too many posts if subscribed in mail mode. Other lists
send their digests once a day so I assumed this list would do the same. As
an amateur genealogist, I should have followed the first golden rule, Never
Assume Anything! I guess I'll have to wait for my digest.
