Looking for parents of Lewis C. Smith b. 13 Jan 1815 in New York. census
records state place of birth as Columbia, Schoharie,Greene and Chenango
Counties. In 1836 Lewis has settled in Madison County; Married a
Clarissa A Beebe and starts a family. Elizabeth M b. 11 Jan 1838:
Melvina b. 15 Sept. 1839 Henry C. b 1841 a George and Sarah b. about
1843-45. Clarissa died 29 May 1845. Lewis remarries Martha D Burdick and
they have one more child; Clarissa A Smith, named ather first wife. By
1850 census there is no George listed. Elizabeth m. Andrew Jackson
Henderson; Melvina m. Benjamin F Mead; Henry C m. ??? , I know Henry
had a daughter named Maude i believe she married a Johnson.
