Hi Wanda, I found the following information in Wadhams Genealogy pge
543. I don't know if it will help you or not but for what it's worth
here goes: "Elmina (Wadhams, I think) b. 5 June 1820; d. 28 August
1849, in Norwalk, Ohio. m. 23 July 1846, Alfred Smith Curtis, a lawyer
of Peru, Ohio, he was the son of Leonard and Abigail (Smith) Curtis; he
was descended from William Curtis, who came to Boston in 1631 and
afterwards settled in Roxbury, Massachusetts. On his mothers side he was
descended from Nehemiah Smith, who joined the Plymouth Colony in 1638,
removed to New Haven about 1643, and afterwards settled in Groton,
Connecticut. The old homestead of the Smith family in Groton is still
standing." Remember this book was pub. in 1913, so I don't know what the
chances are of the homestead still standing. Hope this helped. Margaret
in NV
