Hello List,
I am looking for links with people descended from Thomas Smith & Elizabeth Dexter married 3 Nov 1800, Costock, Nottingham. His parents unknown, but Elizabeth is the daughter of Joseph Dexter and Ann Hubbard of Costock.

Three children are known; (there must be more)
John Smith b. 1803 in Radford - a Methodist Minister
James Smith b. 1805 in Radford - a Lacemaker in Nottingham and Calais
Anne Smith b. 1807 in Radford

James Smith (1805) married Eliza Craven in Dover in 1825 and (so far) we have traced twelve children either born in Nottingham or Calais
Elvina, Lucy, Henry, James, Alfred Craven, Hannah/Anna, Alfred, Louis Edward, female who died young. Fanny, Israel, & poss. Elizabeth.
The first language of the family was French. The family was well off and the children well educated.
