Yes I have connection to Tenn. Smith line. I do not know much about it
though. My great great grandmother was:
Mary Jane Smith, born in TN 1835
She was married in 1859 in Ark. to Milas Pinckney Presley. They lived in
Fulton County, Ark. (right on the Ark/MO line) while they had 3 or 4
children. They show up in 1860 with their first child, Mahala (my gr
grandma) who was a few mos. old. They Mary Jane (Smith) and her husband
Milas Pinckney Presley and family moved over into Oregon and Howell Counties
in MO where they had a couple more kids. She died in 1875 and is buried at
Shiloh Cem. at Thayer, MO. Her husband married two more times as his next
wife died also.
I would love to know the names of the parents of Mary Jane Smith but have not
documented that as yet. I really have not had time to do much genealogy
research lately.
