Greetings to the smith message group:

I am new to this group and would like to see if any one out there can
relate.
I know its like looking for a needle in a haystack with such a common
name and myself with such little information.

But ,Here it is;
My grandmother, Matilda Rutledge, was bn.4 April 1813 in Lancaster
district, South Carolina. Her father was Richard Rutledge and mother
Winifred Elizabeth Blanche Smith. Her father was Abner Smith.

Does this ring a bell with any one out there?
If so---I would be pleased to hear from you.
