William Stewart Smith and Emily (Emeline) Jones were married in
Early Co., Ga Feb. 7, 1834.

William was born Dec. 29, 1814 in Ga
Emily was born June 4, 1819 in Ga

After 1840, they and several family members migrated to
western Louisiana and then into Newton Co., TX---------
William was wounded in the Battle of Mansfield (CW) and died
poss. in Calcasieu Par., La 1864.
Emily died in Calcasieu Par. in 1866.

Their children were: Jonathan Leddon b. 1840; Virgil Stewart b.
1843; Isaiah Ira b. 1846; Mary Caroline b. 1848; William Francis b.
1851; Stephen Elzie b. 1853; Anna b. 1856; Ameline Jane b. 1858; Emilie Alpha
b. 1862; Jefferson Davis b. 1862 (twin to Emilie) .

Am looking for parents and siblings for William Stewart Smith and Emily
Jones.........

Family tradition says possible parents of William were J. L. Smith
and Mary Bailey-----
