were those parents and where did they come from.

I have been told some of the family went to MO. but haven't found anything
.They were in Shelby Co., TN in 1840...James T. Smith was born in Todd
Co.,Ky
in 1818, (probably Logan Co. since Todd wasn't formed until 1819) On census
records he lists his father born in VA. Then next appears in Tn. where he
married Artalissa Shetter. I have no idea who his parents were. He's my
brick
wall. I don't know anything about him or his siblings. I have his wife
traced
back to PA, but nothing on him
