I've hit a stone wall with my g-g-grandfather. Here's what I have, in case
it rings a bell.

Starting with my g-grandfather: Frederick Joseph Smith born Oct 1860 in
Washington DC Died December 14, 1903. Married Jan 28, 1890 to Catherine
Agnes Fitzpatrick (family story has it that Frederick was a merchant
mariner, whose ship went down off the coast of Cape Cod. Catherine was a
domestic who help with the rescue. Cupids arrow struck, Frederick left the
merchant marines and settled down in Cambridge Ma)

Frederick Father was Frank A Smith, born March 12 or 13 1836 in Germany; he
died September 19, 1913 in Accokeek MD; buried in Accokeek cemetary (is
there more than 1???)
Frederick Mother was Sophia ????
Franks SECOND wife was Johanna Marie Sophia Englert. They were married in
1863, when Frederick was 3. Don't know what happened to Sophia.
