Dear Bonedigger,
What a wonderfully generous offer. I am searching for Rebecca Smith who
married Howell Gilliam Hanks. I do not know where they were married but they
lived their lives in Wilcox County AL, showing up in the census there from
1820 on. According to a family Bible she was born, 24 Jul 1807, and
according to later census she was born in South Carolina. She might have
had a brother named Henry, who shows up on the 1860 Census next door to her
and with her in 1870, he also indicates a South Carolina Birth. She died 7
Feb 1897. If you can help me at all I would certainly appreciate it. This
Henry also was ex. for her husband's will.
