I am searching for the parents and siblings of Daniel M. Smith born February 20, 1828 in Gwinnette, GA. The 1880 Scott County, AR census states his father was born in SC and his mother in VA, this is all that I have on them.I have found 2 brothers, a Martin Madison Smith and Henry L. Smith, would like to know if there are more children. Daniel M. married Almanda Sharpton and Martin married Lucinda Sharpton, these are daughters of Jordon Sharpton and Martha Fleming of GA. These two families moved to AL between 1856-1859 their children were born in AL. I have also heard Daniel May was in the Civil War so he moved his family to IL and had a daughter there. After the war they moved to Scott county, AR., where they both died and is buried.
If anyone knows anything about these families please contact me. I sure would appreciate hearing from you.
