I searched for my George Washington Smith for ten years. Everytime I was at
an archives or library I would look for him first.After ten years I found him
just from takling to a distant cousin,she said something to the effect that
Uncle Albert Asherbranner was often at my Great grandfathers house, I went to
Lawrence County Alabama to the archives and looked at the 1900 census and
sure enough Uncle Albert married a Smith and she was the sister to my
GGrandpa. He had been just one county over all the time.I am in Morgan County
Alabama and he was in Lawrence County Alabama. Never give up, your ancestors
are just aroung the corner and one day you will turn that corner. Martha
My George Washiington Smith was born in 1862 . marries Sarah Celesta Shirley
1888 in Cullman County Alabama.
