I am looking for the parents of these children:
Eliza SMITH b. 1816 MS m. Larkin COLLINS - lived in Clarke Co., MS area > AR
James William SMITH b. 1816 MS m. Sarah BENGE - lived in Jasper Co., MS > AR
Henry B. SMITH b. 1821 MS m. Nancy J - lived in Attala Co., MS > AR
Martha SMITH b. 1824 MS m. M F BEARD - lived in Newton Co., MS

These children were orphaned ca. 1830 and the girls were raised under the
"tuterlage of their maternal aunt, wife of ex Gov John McRAE".

I originally thought these children were the nieces and nephews of Mary
Annette BURGE McGUIRE McRAE, wife of Gov. John J. McRAE, but recent
information leads me to believe they may have been related to John J. McRAE
insted.

In 1850 and 1860 there was a William B. SMITH wife Elizabeth McRAE living in
Clarke Co., MS, she was the cousin of Gov. John J. McRAE. Her mother was a
BOOTH and father a McRAE. She was related to the BROWNs in that area and the
BELTs in the Mobile area. There is also a Billy BRADFORD.
