As a new member to your list, I have done extensive research and work on
the Spencer Smith family lines and am almost finished with a family
book. I will try to include any information and pictures on this
family that you can supply me. This book will include Franks and Bird
information, also....as they are all part of the family story.

Spencer Smith Sr (the son of Bayly and Elizabeth Miles Smith of the
Valentine Smith family)
was born abt 1741 in Accomack Co., VA and died abt 1839 in Waynesboro,
Wayne Co., TN. He is thought to have married Margaret "Peggy" Taylor
about 1780 Acc. Co., VA..
The children of Spencer and Margaret Smith were:
1) Easter Bayly "Redbird" Smith, born abt 1780 VA and died abt 1854
Wayne Co., TN
2) Elijah Smith, born about 1783 VA (*line followed in Book) and died
after 2/19/1848 Lawrence Co., TN He married Easter Bird of Edgefield
Dist., SC.
3) Nancy Smith, born about 1785 VA and died in Wayne Co., TN
4) Spencer Smith Jr. born about 1787 VA and died about 1870 Wayne Co.,
TN
