Jean, thank you very much for the tip on tracing our ancestors by map. I am
just starting to do this and I have found an old stage coach road in North
Alabama that I hope to find where it started and where it ended.
It is in Morgan City Alabama and I stood on part of the actual road. It is
way off the road and there is a cemetery on the right side of the road
supposedly of people who lived there and on the left side there is a cemetery
of people who were traveling. There are just rocks marking the one on the
left side and trees have grown up through them so it is hard to tell where
the graves are.
On the right there are two graves with the Smith name on them, they have
just recently been put there. I want to go back and get the first names of
these Smith's soon. It is a long way from where I live so I will have to make
a day of it.
I have contacted the person who owns the land and he has no idea who is
buried on the left side. Martha
