I think the reader that said they had a Zadok Smith in York Co., SC was
talking about Zadok Darby Smith, born May 13, 1822 in Mecklenburg Co., NC and
died on Nov. 25, 1884. York Co., SC is just over the Mecklenburg Co. line,
and there are lots of family members from his line that were living or died
in York Co. and Mecklenburg Co. Do you think this could be your line?
