I am searching for the family of a Mary E. Reaves/Reeves, born circa 1860 -1861 who married 1888 possibly Etowah, Jasper, Cherokee, Chambers Counties of Alabama to Samuel Jesse REAVES Jr., who was the son of Samuel Jesse Reaves and Isabella Burdett.

We're trying to identify Mary's family.

In 1870, Cherokee County AL I find on the 1880 census for Cherokee County:

G. P. Smith age 29, born Georgia farmer
Mary E. age 28 , born Alabama
Lamar Smith age 5, born Alabama
Mary W. age 3, born Alabama
Milton age 1 born Alabama
MARY E. SMITH age 18 born AL (this is probably her) sister
SARAH G. SMITH age 17 born AL sister
W. R. SMITH age 28 born AL brother

Albert Smith age 14 B
Mose Smith age 11 B
Nina Smith age 9 B
Lona Smith age 7 B

I cannot locate G. P. Smith, Mary E. Smith, Sarah G. Smith, or W. R. Smith on the 1870 census for Alabama.

I find Isabella (Burdett) Reaves in the 1870 census of Chambers County, Alabama with her children. Samuel Jesse Reaves Sr. possibly killed 1864 in the Civil War.

Any help with this family will be appreciated. Two clues are the names "Milton" and "Lamar" in the above Smith family.
