I appreciate any help you can give me .Many of you have sent information on my ancestors. This first part I am quite sure is correct : My grandfather, WILLIAM
ELMER SMITH was born abt 1864, died in 1922 in St. Petersburg, FL., married in 1888 MINNIE SNOW,
born abt 1868 in OH,died 1894.
William's father was OBADIAH B SMITH, born abt
1843 in OH, married SARAH SWINEHART, born abt
1844 in OH. They had 3 children : William Elmer,
EARL, born 1869 in MI; and GRACIE, born abt 1875.
Some of the following is "guess-work" : They moved around a lot , back and forth, from Windom, MN. to
OH, to PA.
1880 census gave Obadiah. Do you think census for 1850 or 1860 will show Obadaih or his wife, Sarah Swinehart or maybe THEIR parents ? Thank you.Patricia CARR McDonald <mailto:>
