I just received my grandfather's birth certificate.
his name is WILLIAM SMITH born in Manhattan, New York
on Nov 16, 1884. at 8 Pitt St.
Mother Carrie age 19 at time of birth
father Wm or William age at time of birth 26.
both parents born in New York. father's occup. Clerk.

My problem is I have HQ and for days I have been trying to find
William and Carrie Smith in the census, I cannot find them.

My grandfather William was born in 1884 in Manhattan and was married in Brooklyn in 1907. I have been searching all of the census in Manhattan and Brooklyn for William & Carrie/Caroline cannot find them,
My grandfather William in 1910 is married and living in Brooklyn on Gates Ave.

I am trying to find out information on my grandfather and his parents
before 1910, and see if there is any brothers or sisters. he was the first born

If anyone could help me I appreciate very much.
