I did join the New York census lookup, and now the city directory.
and I am on the Smith group and others. I have such a common
name. I found William Smith in the 1910,1920 and 1930 census,
but before that nothing. I have my grandfathers birth,marriage records
On those records his mother's maiden name is so different. His birth
record is mothers maiden is SPYN and is marriage record from the church is
DEPOLT. There is no civil record.
