I am looking for any information in relation to these individuals. Edward E. (only info I have on name) is the father of Marinda Caroline and Samuel Baxter McFarland. The story I have received was that Edward took an Indian wife possibly from Alabama and they had several children, Louisa, Ann, Middleton, Cicero, Marinda Caroline, Samuel Baxter McFarland. The first 4 I have no info on.
Marinda Caroline was born in Sept of 1863 and married a John Bryant Brasfield Feb. 24, 1893 in Houston, Mississippi. She owned some land there and raised horses and sheep. They had 7 children, John Earl, Middlton Poole, Edna Earl, Sidney Augustus, Jason Thomas, Anna Pearl, Iley Marvin.
Samuel Baxter McFarland also married a Brasfield named Mary Eugenia Brassfield. They were married Dec. 25, 1889 in Clay County, Ms. They also had 7 children, Augustus Earl, Phoebe Nettie, Samuel Guy, Susan Mary, Josie, Mable Irene, and Thomas Howard.
Edward E. and his wife are not much known about other than she was full blooded indian (which tribe is unknown). Any info on this family would be appreciated.
