Mary Elizabeth Connor-Smith
MIDDLEBURGH — Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Connor-Smith, of 9 Maple Ave., died Tuesday, July 14, 1998, at her home following a long illness.
Mrs. Connor-Smith was born in Utica on Aug. 9, 1920, a daughter of Francis P. and Eliza White Finnegan.
She was the widow of George Connor, who died on Sept. 8, 1973, and Merlin Smith who died Jan. 29, 1990.
Mrs. Smith retired in 1991 from the Maintenance Department of the State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill.
She was a member of St. Catherine's Church and the Schoharie County Literacy Volunteers.
Surviving are a daughter, Georgia Anne Connor-Shultzman of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, George Michael Connor of St. Cloud, Minn., and Patrick Timothy Connor of New York.
Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 63 River St., Middleburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 18, 1998, at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine's Church, Main Street, Middleburgh.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Winfield.
