Joe Smith
Lansing

Age 73, died February 26, 1989. Born December 5, 1915 in Missouri. Mr. Smith retired from
Atlas Drop Forge in 1980 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Glad Tidings
Pentecostal Church of God. Surviving are a son, Bobby and wife, Linda of Lansing; 2
grandchildren, Laura and Shannon of Lansing; 3 sisters, Mildred Lyter of Jackson and Violet
Hampton and Alice Glasgow both of Arkansas; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services
will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with The Rev. Daniel
Coleman, Pastor of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Interment will be in
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Funeral Home beginning Monday, 7
p.m. where the family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Those
desiring may make contributions to the Lansing Teen Challenge, 8101 W. Willow, Grand Ledge,
MI 48837.
