Was your Smith from Rowan NC?I have Smith from Rowan that went to Clarke Co,AL by 1800.

I descend from Timothy Smith Anderson that was born about 1815 in Georgia.
I do not know
is father but I found his mom, Margaret Anderson, on page 34 of the DeKalb
Co., Georgia
ensus. She was born about 1780 in NC and has one lady about the same age

f her. One, Anne Cowan, was the wife of Isaac Cowan. Anne was the
aughter of Joseph
cott of Rowan Co., NC. I believe the other one, Sarah Smith, is the
other of Timothy Smith Anderson's wife, Margaret Catherine Smith.

oes anyone on the list have any idea who Sarah Smith's husband was?
