Hi Mavis! I found a Elizabeth SMALLMAN trading as a provisions dealer and
living in Carter's Green, west Bromwhich. Also a William SMALLMAN trading
as a builder and living in Brettell Lane Kigswinford/Stourbridge. Both in
"Melvilles Directory of Dudley and District 1852". hope this is of
interest, Trevor Counley.

Dear Mel,
Bless you for looking, but it's not the family. It's marvellous isn't it, I
had the No. and sent away twice to get copies of the census, but no one has
replied, but now of course I can't lay my hands on the vital piece of paper.
I know I must still have it, telling me which part of the census to look,
and I know it's Folio 129, but that's all.
Thank you anyway, and I will make a note of William and his family, they may
join up somewhere.
Regards,
Mavis.
