Hi list, looking for information on a couple who apparently married in Leek in July 1859, he was Joseph BAGULEY and she was Alice TRAFFORD age 31 and 27, at St Luke's. What I would like would be a look up in the 1851 and 1861 censuses to find what family members there were in the area. Joseph was born in Macclesfield and Alice was born in Gawsworth. These are the names on their son William Wilcox' birth cert, but believe Joseph was married before, who to? And assuming it may have been in Macclesfield, where incidently their son William Wilcox was born. Assuming she was a member of the huge TRAFFORD family from Gawsworth. Could she have been 'advised' against marrying a widiwer/divorcee, therefore married out of Cheshire? Look forward to sks shedding some light, kind regards Mick McAllister
