I have obtain a marriage certificate of my great grandparents who were
married at the Sherrifhales Parish Church in December 1846.
Both their ages are shown as ' Full age' .
Is there a generally accepted minimum where this would have been applied in
1846
ie 16 or 18 or 21?
I do have some data which I am trying to make fit but this full age for the
grandfather would make him only sixteen and I am wondering if this is
possible with him being defined as 'Full Age'
Any advise or thoughts would be appreciated
Regards
