Hi Listers,
I'm new to the list and have not heard of Pallots Index before and would like to know how to access it. And can anyone please tell me which are the registers that no longer exist?
I'm researching the family of Isaac and Elizabeth GOLDSTRAW/GOOSTREY buried in the churchyard of St. Edward the Confessor, Leek. There are between 12 and 14 children but between James Goostrey christened 1789 Leek (may not be the right James) and John Goostrey 1807, Isaac Goostery 1809 and Samuel Goostrey 1812 all in Leek, I have not been able to find any births/christenings for William, George, Isaac, Joseph, Daniel, Ellen, Hannah, Elizabeth, Mary or Henry. Nor have I found the marriage of the parents Elizabeth and Isaac. It just seems to me that there is a register missing for Leek. Does anyone know?
