I am a Stamper through my grandmother, Gladys “Billie”
Stamper, b. 1915. in Camden Co., MO. 
She was the daughter of

James
Dallas Stamper (1879, MO – 1946) and Eva Jennings (1895 – 1928).  He was the son ofWilliam
Marion Stamper (1855, Greene or Owen Co., IN - 1948) and Elvira Bland (1862 –
1939).  He was the son ofSolomon
Stamper (1820, NC – 1888) and Margaret Arthur (1818 - ?)

 

Solomon is my brick wall. 
I believe he is the son of Solomon Stamper (1788 – 1854) and Elizabeth
Sizemore (1788 – 1867), but there’s definitely room for doubt.  I’ve also seen Solomon attached to William
Stamper (1780 – 1850) and Peggy Baldwin (1784 – 1852).
