My information comes from a very well documented genealogy (I received several years ago) of the descendants of John Stell (b. 18 Feb. 1743/44 England - 27 Dec. 1800 near Effingham, GA) and Susannah Malone (b.c. 1744 VA -1834 GA). John Stell served as a private in the American Revolution.
One of their sons, Robert Malone Stell (4 March 1767 SC - 2 Sept. 1814 GA) married Elizabeth Jones (b.c. 1773 VA - d. after 1816, probably GA)in 1788 in Newberry Co. SC. Her parents were Capt. Thomas Jones and Catherine Littleton. Thomas Jones served as a captain in the American Revolution.
One of their sons was Thomas Jones Stell (b. 1796 Morgan Co. GA - 26 Apr 1852 Stewart Co. GA), whose first wife was Sarah Hogg. He married his second wife, Rebecka Cook (b. 13 April 1809), on 22 Dec. 1825 in Henry Co. GA. (Her parents were John Cook and Mary Heard)
My GGGgrandmother was Elizabeth Stell who married James Fletcher, first Sheriff of Henry Co., GA. Elizabeth Stell (1791-1873) was the sister of your Thomas Jones Stell.
I am sure you will hear from some of the Stell/Still family researchers. I will be happy to help if you need.
