I have a James, b. 1838, who grew up in Perry Co., OH, where he appears in both the 1860 and 1880 census, a son of Samuel Stoneburner and Eleanor Chinowith. I also have a James, b. 1838 in Parma, Monroe Co., NY where he appears in the 1850 census, a son of Peter Stoneburner and Clarissa Cross. I have no more information on either James. Do you know where your James was married? Or where Bertis was born?
